Journal 12 is an Arabic engineering magazine covering megaprojects, energy and engineering technology across the Middle East and beyond. We are looking for an engineer specialised in projects and construction to technically review our Projects section articles before publication, making sure they are accurate and valuable to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Technically review Projects section articles before publication, covering megaprojects, infrastructure, transport and rail, buildings, and water and utilities projects.
• Verify project figures, contract values, timelines, contractor names, technical terminology and cited sources.
• Suggest corrections and additions that raise the engineering value of each article.
• Meet agreed review deadlines in line with our daily publishing schedule.
• Propose new topics and angles that matter to engineers working in projects and construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline).
• Currently working in projects or construction, such as with a contractor, consultant, developer or project owner.
• Strong written Arabic, as all articles are published in Arabic, and the ability to read English technical references.
• Attention to detail and the ability to give clear, constructive feedback.

Preferred

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Previous experience in technical writing, reviewing or engineering reporting.

Work arrangement

Remote with flexible hours, and can be combined with your current job.
